What is the Skillset Screen Academy Wales?
The Skillset Screen Academy Wales is one of the UK’s 7 recognised centres of high level film, animation and screen acting industry-focused training and education, providing masters level and undergraduate programme in eight core areas.
The (SSAW) partnership is between University of Wales Newport (International Film School of Wales, The University of Glamorgan (Cardiff School of Creative and Cultural Industries) and associate partners Swansea Metropolitan University, The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and Cyfle, as an industry training partner.
We provide masterclasses, mentoring opportunities, intensive residencies and film labs, curriculum development, short courses and direct contact with the industry in Wales and across the UK for our students and graduates, as well as offering bursaries for students to attend our courses.
