Brian Tufano Cinematography Masterclass

Brian Tufano is one of the UK’s leading Directors of Photography with a remarkable career spanning film and television. Tufano’s early work was with the BBC, including Stephen Frears Three Men in a Boat, and Alan Parker’s The Evacuees. In 1992, Tufano was introduced to Danny Boyle and after turning freelance went on to work with Boyle on his debut film, Shallow Grave, and subsequent features Trainspotting and A Life Less Ordinary.

His other work for television has comprised of such popular series as Silent Witness, Middlemarch, The Choir and Common as Muck.  Brian has worked on over 40 feature films and is currently Head of Cinematography at the National Film and Television School.

Brian was awarded the 2001 BAFTA Award for Outstanding Contribution to Film and Television, and the 2002 Special Jury Award for Outstanding Contribution to Independent Film at the British Independent Film Awards.
