Merit Based Scholarships

SSAW has three Skillset merit-based scholarships of £6,600 each to offer for those taking up MPhil or PhD research before March 2009. SSAW is therefore calling for proposals for MPhil or PhD research at its partner institutions:

The University of Glamorgan (Cardiff School of Creative and Cultural Industries)
The University of Wales, Newport (International Film School Wales)
Swansea Metropolitan University (School of Digital Media).

Scholarship recipients are selected on merit and portfolio for study. (Please note that the application process for MPhil/PhD study is separate from the scholarship application process).

Proposals should be film-related and include a practice-based element. Applications can be related to animation, producing, directing, cinematography, post-production, screen acting, production design or screenwriting.

SSAW scholarships are funded by the Skillset Film Skills Fund.
