Two down, two to go for Joe Wallace’s Animation Sans Frontieres experience!

UWN BA Animation student, Joseph Wallace returns from the second leg of his four-part European adventure as he participates in the Animation Sans Frontieres workshop.  With 2 week programmes in both Filmakademie (Germany)and MOME (Budapest) under his belt, we catch up with Joe for a progress report...

The first month of Animation sans Frontiéres has been amazing. It’s completely made me re-think the way I work and where I see myself in the industry.

We are taught by industry professionals everyday and everything we learn is up to date and cutting edge. We’ve had lectures and workshops on stereoscopic 3d technology, to the latest motion capturing for animation, European markets and where to find funding.

It's been inspiring, informative and realistic. As for the other participants, it is a rare pleasure to be surrounded by such passionate and driven filmmakers and producers

We have two months off now over Christmas but I can’t wait for the next month commencing in Denmark in February.
