LA Screening for Skillset Trailblazers announced

Following the screening of SSAW films at the Edinburgh Film Festival in August Welsh films have been selected to be screened at the BEST OF BRITS 07 festival in Los Angeles, a day-long festival, taking place on 18 October showcasing the hottest British filmmakers in the UK. The aim of the event is to raise the profile of UK filmmakers and also the UK as a destination for US productions.

There will be a shorts programme featuring the best shorts to come out of the UK this year. These include shorts from the Screen Academy Network, IWC/ Channel 4 Coming Up, BBC Films Network and NFTS graduate films. There's also a gala feature, Small Engine Repair, by Niall Heery.

The shorts screenings are open to the general public and attendance will be free. They are also inviting leading Hollywood execs, managers, producers, filmmakers and film school students.

t.o.m has also been selected by the American Film Institute Film Festival in Los Angeles following their viewing of the Trailblazer selection.
