The Skillset Screen Academy Wales (SSAW) offers high-level film industry focused training and education.

The SSAW is a partnership of two of the foremost film educational institutions in Wales. It also draws on the resources of other key centres of excellence in film-related vocational training and education. SSAW contributes to the cultural, social and economic development of the UK film sector and to the competitiveness of UK film on a global scale by offering a focused set of vocational courses and degrees to a diverse student body.

As Project Manager you will be responsible for the management of all areas of SSAW activity; including developing relationships with all areas of the film industry, co-ordination of masterclasses and placements, promotion, curriculum development and short courses. You will oversee the work of the Project Coordinator and share responsibility for the promotion and allocation of bursaries, and the coordination of outreach activity. The Project Manager also prepares reports for the SSAW funders and Management Board and chairs meetings with course leaders.

The SSAW is now in its second phase, with development of activity in place for the period to March 2009. Project Management experience and an awareness of the UK Film Industry is essential, and awareness of the higher education context and the ability to speak Welsh are desirable.
