SSAW has today announced those shortlisted for the chance to attend the prestiguous EKRAN training programme in 2008.

The selection panel of Nigel Orrillard, MA Film IFSW and script consultant for the EKRAN programme and Keith Potter, Head of Development at the Film Agency for Wales, praised those who had entered the competition to attend in 2008.

SSAW received six applications from groups of students and graduates associated with MA programmes at SSAW, which consisted of treatments and supporting material for a feature project to be developed during the EKRAN scheme.

The successful two groups will be interviewed in Caerleon in January by Witold Stok BSC who will select one project to go to EKRAN this year.

Those to be interviewed on the 22nd of January are:

Project 1 - Gas and Air:
Ann-Marie McCormack (Writer/Director)
Lesley Morgan (Producer)
Stephen J. Brand (Cinematorgrapher)

Project 2 - Puppet Boy:
Jonathan Ratigan (Writer / Director)
Rhys Miles Thomas (Producer)
