SSAW calling for student representatives for Industry Panel sub groups

One of the Skillset Screen Academy Wales's key remits is to involve the film industry in our higher education courses offered - to ensure that the courses are up to date and relevant and that students are offered realistic information and as many opportunities to interact with the industry as possible.

SSAW set up an Industry Panel in 2005, the members of which are listed here.

We have now also set up sub groups - one for animation and one for film, which ensures that the members of the industry panel can meet more often and discuss in more detail the activities undertaken by SSAW.

We would now like to involve students and graduates in the discussions taking place about the courses on offer.

Would you be interested in becoming a student representative, which would involve attending 6-monthly meetings with members of the panel to offer your opinions on the different areas of SSAW activity - placements, masterclasses, film labs, etc? This will be an excellent opportunity for 4 people (two per sub group) to meet industry members, have an impact on the development of SSAW and a significant addition to your CV.
